Starlink Mini Spare Tire Mount
Starlink Mini Spare Tire Mount
Most overland/offroad rigs have wasted space on top of the spare tire, so we thought - why not make use of that space instead of taking up precious solar space on the roof? This is the easiest to use mount for Starlink Mini available on the market if you're looking to mount your antennae to your spare tire. This mount is also unique in that it allows you to rotate the Starlink for better coverage/alignment when you're stationary so you can worry less about getting your truck perfect. Have an awning that might cover it up? If your tire is on a swing out like the one seen here, in most cases it will be outside the coverage of the awning when your swing out is deployed, allowing you to have fast service even when hunkering down in the rain.
We designed simplicity into this mount. Many have complicated clamping mechanisms that only orient the antennae flat, and are fixed. The Two Track Nation mount allows the most flexible option possible, while keeping it easy to remove when you're not using it. Simply unclip it from the factory mount and unplug your cable when not in use!
Some features built into the mount are teeth that will grip your tire to ensure it stays put, relieve cuts to ensure the strap doesn't wander, and a slot for the OEM Starlink bolt to sit in that prevents it from falling off in the highly unlikely event it comes a little loose. For added security, we've included a nut and washer to back up the OEM Starlink bolt.
We've spent 6 months testing this mount on some of the toughest roads in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona and are confident it's ready for market. You can expect full service at highway speeds, and crawling around the mountains. The Starlink Mini itself is IP67 rated, and rated to withstand up to 60mph winds. But highway speed is faster than that you say, right? Mounted on your rear tire, there is generally a low-pressure area and is shielded from full on wind normally seen be a vehicle and that's how we get away with a mount like this! If your spare tire is high enough that the starlink comes closer that 6" from your roofline, use caution as it may experience more wind than what is recommended. The GX seen in the photos above has an abnormally high tire carrier and has had zero issues at speeds of 75mph, and up to 85 mph at times. While our testing has been thorough through wind, rain, snow, and everything else you can think of, we cannot be liable for your Starlink being damaged by improper mounting.
